I love Basketball, Lived In Idaho and Montana, I love to make people laugh,I am serving a mission in the WVCM. and I'm a Mormon

About Me

why Hello there friends! My Name is Richard, Though, Most people call me Buddy, Well, I guess right now Most People Call me Elder Tullis. I am From The Beautiful State of Montana, the Western Side way up in the Mountains. but am Currently Serving a Mission in the West Virginia Charleston Mission. Back home my all time Favorite activity was... Eating food. I also loved to sleep. but when I wasn't doing that you could Generally find me at a Basketball court or doing something outside. I love to hike, fish, camp, swim, wakeboard (although I am not to good at that...) and just about every other sport or activity. my goal after my mission is to start an amazing family!! and go to college and become a forensic and/or Child Psychiatrist. I love psychology and how the human mind works. it is quite the interesting study.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church Since July 24th 2010. growing up, I always read the bible, but didn't consistently go to a church. my parents were split and I lived with my mom. my dad was a member. and he would always try to get me to go with him to church. but, as many of you know, sometimes kids can be quite the challenge to raise. and so I didn't much care for any religion. Believing that I had a relationship with god and that was all that Mattered. this went on for a while until I had a friend who knew that what the gospel had could help me to grow closer to God. and so she started her efforts to help me see that more is needed than just saying that I have Christ in my Heart. and after we spent a year talking about the church and going to the many Youth activities that the church provides, I started to come to a knowledge for myself that there really is more than just professing a belief in Christ. we read in the New testament that we are told in James 1:22 " But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." and I realized, I was missing something. under more study and contemplation I read things that I had read before, but not taken to heart. Christ talks about how Baptism is essential for our salvation. how we need to partake of the sacrament, also called Communion, and how we still need to follow His Commandments to be able to return and live again in his Presence. and So, after much Pondering and prayer, our father in Heaven made it known unto me, that I did need to enter the Waters of Baptism, by someone Hold the Priesthood Authority of God. So I did, and I have gone through Many Hard trials because of my faith, But I have also been Blessed for Following the Commandments of God. and I can Say that I am A member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints Because this is the true Church Restored on the Earth preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah. and this Gospel can and will Bless all who "Come unto Christ"

How I live my faith

At this point in time I am living my faith by setting apart two years of my life to serve as a Representative of Jesus Christ. My purpose is to now go out and Help people to come unto Christ and to let them know about the Wondrous and unique Message that this church has to share. That our Heavenly Father has once again reached out to us in Love and called a Prophet to lead and Guide us in these Latter-Days! and so while I am on a mission I get to have the opportunity to go out and help people to draw closer to Christ and to God 24/7

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Richard
The book of Mormon, Like the Bible, was not written by one individual person. Rather, it was written by many different prophets called of God. the Prophets then recorded their revelations and the history of the people that they were called to serve. these records became what is now known as the Bible and the Book of Mormon. the Book of Mormon was translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith to act as another witness of Jesus Christ. and goes hand in hand with the Bible.
