Hi I'm Kezia

I grew up in Portland, Oregon home of the beautiful Rose Garden. I am a sewer of clothing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah. Currently working at a Deli to save money for school. I enjoy taking black and white pictures. I am a university student at BYU-Idaho where I study Childhood Development. Currently working on a historical fiction children's book, this is the first time I have written a children's book. I love to cook and talk about food with people.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a beautiful thing. It means having family where ever I go in the world, I still have to learn their names, like I do with my own cousins and extended family. The Lord has been there for me in so many ways. Early in the mornings on my way to work, I am able to share my Love of the sunrise as it touches the different parts of the earth. He is there to listen when I need a friend to talk to. Even when there are times I have not always wanted to listen to what He has to say. I am human which means I have made mistakes and made choices that have taken me away from Lord Jesus Christ. During those times of wandering away from His love, I have become scared and very much alone, I stop feeling which is never a good thing. He is there waiting with open arms when I come back. I am not sure I will ever understand how he manages to have so much patience, love and charity for me but He does. I am grateful that he does. He is my support when I need someone to lean on. He is my warmth when I need a hug. Often times through His prophets and apostles and other disciples he gives direction that I need to hear. Simple quotes of wisdom. Here is one of my favorite quotes from President Thomas S. Monson "Seek the Lord's guidance a day at a time, life by the inch is a cinch, by the yard its hard." Something I am striving to live by.

How I live my faith

I attend my local young adult ward (congregation). Where I serve as visiting teacher to other sisters in my ward. I invite others to come and be part of this wonderful ward family. When my schedule allows I attend Family Home Evening and other activities with my ward, where I get to associate with some amazing people. When asked I also teach classes on different aspects of the gospel of Jesus Christ that help us draw closer to our Savior. Example: The importance of avoiding pornography, and Using safe and clean media.
