Hi I'm Christian Cummins

I'm from Mesa, AZ. I am a Westwood Warrior. I'm went to MCC. I'm an Eagle Scout, I'm a Ward Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play computer games. So yes, i'm a gamer!!! I love to sing and am really good at it. I was in Honor Choir when I attended Westwood High School and I loved everyday of it. I was also in Westwood Track and Field as a Sprinter. I'm went to Mesa Community College to get more education. I was a Assistant Scout Master for the Special Needs Group. I reported to the Colorado Denver North Mission on Dec 28, 2011. I was at the MTC for seven days, got sick unfortunately, and was sent home. I eventually got a job at Walmart on Signal Butte and Baseline when we moved to Signal Butte and Broadway as a Remodel Crew and eventually was put as seasonal in the Frozen/Dairy department and later in garden center. I was later released and got a job at the AJ Walmart as cashier and like it much better there. I'm currently a Ward Missionary in the YSA Mountain Park Ward at the Red Mountain stake. I will try to continue to edit this as the years go by.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, my mom was raised being a Mormon, my dad and his family were never raised Mormon and he was converted after I was born. Most churches he went to talk about Christ in past tense acting like he was dead and he didn't like that. So seeing the examples of other Mormons, seeing they were always family oriented, and he loves our message "that he lives" he decided that's what he wanted for his family. So our family been Mormon ever since and I'm the first generation of LDS missionary so it's been very exciting. We love the Gospel so much and everything about it. This is truly the church of Christ. I will like to bear my testimony that I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God, that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God, that he did see Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, that they did speak to him and told him to restore his gospel/church, that we have Temples today to go do ordinances and make covenants unto him, that we have living Prophets like Thomas S. Monson, Apostles, Seers, and Revelators, that the holy Priesthood was restored by Prophet Joseph Smith by the laying on of hands, that we still receive revelation today. I know that my redeemer lives and that he loves us so much, that if we come unto to him, and strive to be like him. Then will he give us eternal life. I say this in the name of our beloved, our Savior, Jesus Christ. AMEN.

How I live my faith

I currently went on a mission in Dec of 2011 and got sick the first week and sadly had to be sent home but I hope to go back once everything gets settled. Right now, I participate in the church by visiting my families and make sure there doing okay. I do missionary work by I helping to spread the Gospel by sharing my beliefs and facts about the church on Facebook. I try to live like Christ everyday by serving others and being an example and hoping by doing this I'll be closer to him and my Heavenly Father.

Are Mormons Christians?

Christian Cummins
Yes, Mormon's are indeed Christians. We are actually called The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. We believe in Christ, we rejoice in Christ and we strive to be like Christ. Our loving Heavenly Father want us to be like him, to have everything that he has, like every father wants for there children and more. So everyday we strive to be like Christ so we can be closer to him and the Father. He is our example in our everyday lives. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Christian Cummins
Jesus Christ established his church when he lived on the Earth. His Apostles carried on his work under His direction, through revelation they received and with His priesthood authority. After the Apostles and other Church members were killed or fail away from the church. The Lord took the priesthood away and His church was no longer on the face of the Earth. Even though there were still good people on Earth and some truth remained, the Church of Christ was lost. Thus started the falling away or Apostasy (Thessalonians 2:1-3). The Apostle Peter prophesied of the “restitution of all things” before Christ’s Second Coming (Acts 3:19-21). Having been lost because of the Apostasy, Christ’s Church and His authority were to be restored to the earth. This Restoration would make available the opportunity for all to receive once again all of the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. A young boy named Joseph Smith went to many churches but felt that there was something missing. Seeking what church was the true church of God. He looked upon the scriptures and found this scripture James 1: 5-6. That is what he did. He asked of God and Joseph Smith’s First Vision marked the beginning of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. In subsequent years, Christ restored His priesthood and reorganized His Church. He has continued to reveal truths to His prophets and to restore the blessings that were taken from the earth for a time. Show more Show less
