Hi I'm Christopher Brian Wagstaff

I grew up in Spokane, WA. I am an identical twin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy learning. I am a college student studying chemical engineering, which I thoroughly enjoy. I want to teach others. I'm pretty sure that means pursuing a doctorate. I have also considered teaching high school chemistry and the Teach for America Program. I served as a missionary in Lithuania for two years, which was an experience I will never forget. I am looking forward to returning this summer to study Lithuanian, and do chemistry research.

Why I am a Mormon

I am still a Mormon because I decided to read the Book of Mormon. I was ready to leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I decided to give it one more shot. So I read the Book of Mormon. I then asked God two things. Is Christ my savior? I got an answer, an unexpected feeling in my heart. I then asked if the Book of Mormon is true (of Divine origin as explained in the introduction). I got an answer, another warm feeling in my heart. I am a Mormon, because God answered my prayers.

How I live my faith

My faith has given me hope. I attribute many spiritual experiences as helping me overcome depression. It is my dream to help others find hope and meaning in their lives. Like you, I am really busy. But when I am not studying at school, it is likely Sunday. I am so greatful that I have set this time aside to rest, breathe, and think about God. I think that keeping the Sabbath a day of rest, has really given me clarity and perspective in my life.
