Hi I'm Michael

I'm a father of two wonderfully energetic little boys. I'm a husband of a beautiful wife. I am an educator. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am first and foremost a family man. I love being a father to two energetic little boys and a husband to a beautiful and talented wife. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, camping etc.... I am an avid sports fan. I am currently in graduate school, studying religion. I love learning about other religions and how they excercise their faith in God. I am also a religious educator for the youth in my area. I love to teach them how to have more faith in God and to teach them to rely on the teachings and atonement of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness into my life. Through the teachings of the gospel I know that the family is central to God's purpose for us to live on this earth. Through the gospel I know that my familial relationships that I hold dear do not end with death--that God desires for me to have a forever family. Through the gospel of Christ I know that when I sin and "fall short of the glory of God" I can repent and use the greatest gift given to mankind, the Atonement of my Savior. I know that only through a relationship with him- that by the merits, mercy, and grace of Christ I can return and live with God again. I also grateful to know that God continues to speak to his children, not only through personal prayer, but through a prophet today who receives guidance from God to help mankind today. I love being a Mormon

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily observance, i.e. prayer and scripture reading. I enjoy attending my weekly meetings at church where I am both a teacher and the choir director for my congregation. I love to kneel in prayer with my family morning and night and thank my Father in Heaven for blessing me with the gospel of Christ, my family, and that I can live in a place where I can express my beliefs without fear of persecution. I am so grateful that God allowed me to sacrifice two years of my life to serve others of a country in South America. There I learned to truly love others and to put their needs before my own.
