Hi I'm Natalie

I'm a wife, I have a passion for writing and music, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I play the piano and I love to sing. I have a new love for cooking and baking, and I think fresh bread is one of the most comforting smells in the world. I love reading the classics, and I'm constantly listening to jazz music. I'm interested in French pastry baking, black and white movies, and photography. I have a big range of hobbies and interests, but the gospel is still the biggest part of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel, but there was a point where I had to decide for myself if I really believed. Heavenly Father loves each of us so much, and that's something I learned during this experience. I am a Mormon not because I don't know any different, or because my parents make me. I am a Mormon because I know this is where I'm supposed to be, because this really is the true church, and this is the way to eternal life and happiness. I love this church and its teachings. We are all chosen children of Heavenly Father and He wants us to return to him, and that's what I strive for. The church truly is a church of love, and so is this gospel.

How I live my faith

I try my best to be a good person, and be nice to everyone. I volunteer for service projects, and I try to get others involved. I volunteer my music talents to the ward, and participate in choir whenever I can. I've started helping people in my ward with family history, and I'm working on helping others outside of my ward. I try to be an example of the believers and share my talents. I pray often and I like feeling close to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, especially when I'm at work. Work always goes better when I feel the Spirit. I try to be a friend to everyone. Love everyone - that's my motto.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Baptism is an essential step to returning to live with our Heavenly Father. Heavenly Father wants all of His children to return to Him, so He provided a way for those who passed on without this knowledge, or who weren't able to be baptized, to return to Him. As worthy members of the church perform baptisms for the dead, they are giving those who passed on the choice to accept the work we do for them, and progress on the path back to our Father in Heaven.
