Hi I'm Bryce

I am 25 years old. I was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the 13th August 2011.

About Me

I am currently studying toward a bachelor of sport and exercise science degree. I enjoy reaping the benefits of regular physical activity and have a strong interest in health and nutrition. I am single and have no children. I previously had no religious background and I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints last year after participating in a series of discussions with the missionaries who were serving in the area which I lived.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have always sought truth. After reaching the stage of my life where I had achieved little to nothing and had no hope for my future I realised that I had been doing things wrong. I knew that I had to leave my past life behind me and start from the ground up. That was anything but easy. Looking back it continues to amaze me how the Lord seemingly prepared me to join His church. Once baptized I discovered that as I continue to pray often, read the scriptures daily, attend weekly sacrament meetings and follow the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that He opens doors in life which were previously unopened to me, and continues to do so as I live His Gospel. As I labor with love among His children on this earth as a full-time proselyting missionary I know that it will prepare me for a lifetime of service in His church. I know that by dedicating my mortal life to serving our Master I am best preparing myself for the days where I will rest from my earthly labors in life eternal.

How I live my faith

The best way I have found to live my faith is by extremely simple means. Praying frequently and reading the scriptures daily allows me continue to walk in light despite the world being shrouded in darkness. I myself have recently being called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Latter-day Saints believe the Bible to be the word of God so far as it is translated correctly. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The opportunity to discover people and teach them about our Lord and His Gospel, people who might not have otherwise heard this glorious message without me, fills my heart with excitement and anticipation. The opportunity to be an instrument in our Lord's Hands is truly the greatest of privileges. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Mormon's are encouraged to wear modest clothing. This means no sleeveless clothing and for women no skirts/dresses which sit above the knees. Personally I have found that by keeping our standards of dress modest it makes us more resistant to the powers of temptation. Show more Show less
