Hi I'm Leslie

I'm a flute master♫♫, I'm a crafter, a raisin lover and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a missionary right now! I'm serving in the California Los Angeles Mission (CLAM). The best mission ever! : ) Before my mission, I was studying psychology. I really love helping people. I want to go into musical therapy. I really love music--it is the best way that I can express my feelings and my love for my Savior. I have studied music since I was 10 years old, and growing up I had the opportunity to participate in a lot of music projects including 'La Orquestita', an orchestra in my home town. I like to do my best and be diligent in my goals. One of my goals is to be a composer because when I listen to good music, I feel the Spirit and I am uplifted, and I want to write music like that, that I can share with everyone so that they can have those good feelings and experiences too. My family has shown me tons of support in every aspect of my life. I have 3 sisters and a little brother. They are the best and I especially have a soft-spot for my little brother! He is awesome. Together we have a lot of FUN! I love my family. :)

Why I am a Mormon

My faith is my testimony. I'm so grateful that I have the gospel in my life. I grew up as a member of the church, but even though I was born LDS I decided to have my own testimony. I was blessed to grow up in a family where we lived the principles of the Gospel; we read the scriptures, we prayed, we went to church, my parents taught us the Gospel. Through doing these activities consistently, I built up a treasury of spiritual experiences. These provided me with my own testimony, and that is why I continue to be active in the church by my own choice. I have received answers to all my prayers. Everyone needs an answer about something important at one moment or another in their life, and when I had these moments I turned to the Lord. Being a member of the church is the best decision I ever made and it fills each day with joy.

How I live my faith

There is a song with lyrics that go, "If the Savior stood beside me, would I do the things I do?" I like to think about that because it honestly influences my actions and choices! As a missionary, I share the Gospel. Sharing the Gospel is not just about the words I say, but it's about example too. I invite people to come to know the blessings that the restored Gospel brings, and one of the blessings that I personally like to share is that families can be eternal. When someone has something that is really good, they want to share it. I have something that is really good--the Gospel. I have faith in the Gospel, and I show that by sharing it.
