Hi I'm Amy

I live in Anchorage Alaska. I am a Mortgage Loan Originator. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am Amy! There is much I could say about myself! I am a mortgage loan originator, I love football and music. I am a very passionate person. I am a recent convert, June of 2012. I was in the Army for 8 years and loved all of it. I lived in Wiesbaden Germany for two years. I have to beautiful children whom are 6 and 3. I have two older brothers, and I am the youngest of 3. I am finding a passion for running, although I didn't always love to run. I am very big into writing and literature. I also love continuing my education. There is always something to be learned!

Why I am a Mormon

Before I was introduced to this church, I really had no religious background. I didn't know what to believe and I just counted myself out of religion. I didn't like discussing it or putting myself in those situations where people like to fight over it. Then I found out that my daughter's step mother was LDS and my daughter who is 3 was going to church with them. At first I was really hesitant. Then I lived with an LDS family up here in Alaska. They introduced me to their ward missionaries and we started having discussions. After my first lesson I wanted another lesson. Then finally after I think the 3rd or 4th lesson I prayed for the first time since I was 9. Instantly I knew that I was exactly where I was supposed to be at the right time. The lord knew when my time for me to receive the gospel was, and he delivered it to me in fine fashion. I met with the missionaries about 3 times a week. Only after one month of lessons I was baptized into the church. My life has completely changed. The things that I did on a regular basis I haven't even thought about doing twice. I have found this amazing strength through Jesus Christ, and having a relationship with my Heavenly Father. He knew when I would be open to receiving him and his many blessings, and for that I am truly thankful. The wonderful people I have met, and the friendships I have made I wouldn't trade for anything. My relationship with my Heavenly Father is more than I ever could have asked for in this life. I am so happy to be a member of such a wonderful church. These are just some of the reasons I am a Mormon, and proud to be! :)

How I live my faith

Well as I said I am a new convert to the church. I am the relief society activies coordinator. I very much love going to church and attending family home evening. I love to teach of the things I know. I always try to stay as involved as I possibly can. I am in a Young Single Adult ward so we always seem to have things going on to keep us busy!
