Hi I'm Missy

I've lived in Utah, Nevada, and California. I have a wonderful family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four girls. I grew up in a musical home. I play the piano and sing. I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Music. I taught piano for 10 years, but am currently doing the most fulfilling job in the whole world, I am a wife and mom of 2 beautiful children. I love my little family. I have also done a lot of work with children with special needs. I think all children are wonderful and deserve all the love in the world. Some of my hobbies include music, reading, hiking, going to the beach, swimming, watching musicals and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 5 I was listening to a song "I am a Child of God." I turned to my mom and said I feel so happy on the inside when I listen to this song. She told me that was the Holy Ghost telling me what I was listening to was true. That was the start of my conversion. I have since read the Book of Mormon, and been baptized. I continue to read the scriptures and know they are true. I have prayed and asked God if what I was reading was true. The answer I received was "Yes!". The Scriptures teach me about my Savior. I believe in Christ. I know that there are living prophets today. By living the teachings I am taught in church I continue to grow and become a better person.

How I live my faith

I love working with children. The Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to teach the children ages 4-11 music in our church. Through music I get to teach them about the love our Savior, Jesus Christ has for them. I also play the piano for the choir composed of members of our congregation. The music we sing helps provide the appropriate spirit of worship and reverence to gain and build a testimony of Jesus Christ.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

My family is so important to me that this is one of the most exciting things for me to share. Families can last forever! My husband, children, and I can all be together forever. I cannot imagine my life without my family. My husband and I were married in the temple which means we made covenants that will allow us to be an eternal family. A covenant is a promise with blessings. As long as I keep my covenants the Lord will bless me . Show more Show less
