Hi I'm Todd

I'm from Utah. I Currently live with my wife and two kids in Orange County, CA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent graduate from the University of Utah in public relations. I have a wife and two little ones at home. We don't have a lot of stuff, but we have an awesome little family. I love playing with my kids and hanging out with my wife. I love what I do for a living and feel like I have a ton of blessings that I thank Heavenly Father for every day. I like to bike, but since being married have seriously decreased my ride time. I don't like to run, but do it to keep me healthy and take my kids for a ride. I love to teach. It makes me happy when I share a concept and they understand and apply it in their lives somehow. I have an addiction to potato fries and if you haven't had them with "fry sauce" you're missing out!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in this religion, there came a time in my mid to late teens where I had to make a decision if I was in or out. There were a lot of options and some days the church and its standards weren't always top priority. However I almost always did three main things. I read the scriptures every day (mainly the Book or Mormon), I prayed, and I went to church. Despite all of my doubts, I could see very plainly the benefits from doing those three things. I realized then, in my later teen years, that the time I was spending with God made me happier. I didn't know every aspect of the church nor did I have a true belief in all of its teachings, I just knew that I was in a really good place. Personal convections of the undeniable truths taught in the scriptures and by modern prophets came over time. I once had a man talk to me about several reasons he thought the Book or Mormon was false. He then asked me how I could believe it and I said, "I asked God and he told me it was." That man had no rebuttal to my personal witness of the truthfulness of that book. So if the Book of Mormon is really what it says it is, then Joseph Smith was a prophet. And if Joseph Smith was a prophet then he restored Christ's church on the earth today. How cool is it that I am a member of that church! Being a member isn't always easy, but it is worth it! Because I am a member of Christ's church, I have an obligation and duty to follow its teachings and to help others come to Christ. Sure I could be at the beach on Sunday's, but I'm not. I go to church with my family because I know that's where Christ wants me to be. I read my scriptures because they help me in my personal and professional life. I pray because I know that I can actually communicate with God and he leads and guides me every day. It works. It's true and I love it.

How I live my faith

I currently have a crazy busy schedule with regards to my church life. I wake up 5 days a week super early (4:30 am) and teach the Juniors and Seniors in my area a New Testement scripture course. I do go to church every week and my family and kids go with me. We also have daily family scripture study, and I have daily personal scripture study.
