Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up on the East Coast. I love the outdoors, singing, and laughing with people! I'm a Mormon, and I LOVE it!

About Me

I'm a college student studying English Education. I like sports, hiking, and being outside in general. Singing never fails to makes me happy! I used to be a rower. I love the beach. I like reading books and listening to podcasts. Nerd status, don't worry about it. When I stress, I bake things. Honeysuckle is my favorite thing to smell (besides sea air, and rain). (Other than the gospel) Something I couldn't live without would be music; it brings joy to my life. My favorite author at the moment is John Steinbeck. I love my family!! I love having fun!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? 1. I have felt the spirit testify to me that this church is true. This is one of the biggest reasons that I'm a Mormon. Through doubts and trials, I have gained a still growing, but sure testimony that this church is true and right. 2. IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY! Enough said. 3. It brings me closer to God. This church emphasizes your personal relationship with God more than any other church I know of. I love that. 4. It's all about becoming BETTER. God's plan for us is all about progression. By living the Gospel I can continue to become a better me. 5. It's all about families. I love my family. I love how this church puts an emphasis on the importance families. Not only are immediate families brought closer together by the Gospel, but when you're a member of this church, you become a member of a world-wide family. Anywhere that you go, you have a home. And that's pretty much it. I know that Jesus Christ Atoned for my sins and pains. I know that by following the principles and ordinances of the Gospel, I can return to live with my Heavenly Father. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and I know that Joseph Smith is the Prophet that restored the church of Christ to the earth. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and all of His children. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? First of all, I try my best to be kind and loving towards others; I try to remember to put others before myself. In general, I want to follow the example of my savior, Jesus Christ. In church, I've taught sunday school, served in leadership positions for the women's organization, and I've also participated in various service projects. I attend my church meetings every week in order to be spiritually strengthened and uplifted. I try my best to regularly pray everyday and read my scriptures so that I can maintain and improve my relationship with my Heavenly Father. Having that connection with God everyday makes such a difference in my life. When I choose to keep Him in my life, I am guided through my trials and my burdens are lifted. God never moves away from us, but we can distance ourselves from Him. In my life, I want to align my will with God's will, and live in such a way that I can continue to grow closer to Him and become a better person. Being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has helped me to do these things.
