Hi I'm Nadia!

I love to dance and act and draw silly pictures, I am currently serving in the New Zealand Wellington Mission and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am the eldest of 7 kids, and am from a tiny part of the world called Bergland, Canada. In a nutshell, I love acting, dancing, drawing, musicals, goofing around with my family, and chocolate! :)

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born and raised in the Church I still needed to make that decision for myself if this was something I would keep doing. When I went away to University and away from home I could have very easily fallen into the habit of sleeping in on Sunday mornings, skipping church, neglecting my scriptures and all that. But I found that I didn't want to, I found that this gospel is something that truly brought me happiness and a peace of mind, plain and simple, I don't know where I would be without it and I don't even like contemplating where I would be without it. I love my Heavenly Father, and I want to do my best to make Him happy, to make Him smile, and maybe even make Him laugh :) I can understand who I am, and where I'm going, and that really helps in my decision making about life. God's plan for us is simple and profound at the same time, but it is definitely ran on love. Everything we do it's because God loves us and we love Him. It's so beautiful, how can this gospel not be true? :)

How I live my faith

At the moment I am out and about in a completely foreign land as a missionary, sharing this beautiful gospel with the wonderful kiwis I meet each day :) but before my mission (and definitely after) I simply strive to live the commandments of God every day and just try to be the best example I can be, to let people know that there is hope and happiness in this ever changing world of values. I always strive for happiness, I love to make people smile, 'no one deserves to be miserable' is pretty much my motto :) if I can put a smile on someone's face or make them laugh, then I feel I have accomplished something that day. It is definitly hard at times being a member of the LDS church, life throws so many curve balls our way, to trip us up and make us doubt, but through prayer and reading my scriptures, and remembering that I am a child of God and looking for the blessings around me that make ME smile and laugh, I always know that God is looking out for me and that it will all work out in the end.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Our mortal bodies are a gift from Heavenly Father himeself. We are created in His image, and by defiling that image you are showing a great disrespect to Heavenly Father and to yourself. Show more Show less
