Hi I'm Zoram

I was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. I come from a family of 6. Im a missionary in the South of France.

About Me

My name is Zoram. I'm 19 years old and i have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. I was raised in the beautiful Bay Area of California, where i enjoyed such activities as swimming, running, hiking and camping, but most of all sports. Anything with a ball I enjoy playing, but my favorite is basketball. I'm kind of know as a "Social Butterfly", so when im not preoccupied with work or school you can pretty much garuntee that im out having a good time and just having fun with my friends. I enjoy all kinds of music and movies, but if i had to pick out my favorite genre of each they would have to be Country Music and Comedies. I just like to laugh and have fun, I'm almost always smiling. The way I see it, the way I've been raised, my life is a gift. I have two loving parents, 3 brothers, my life is good. And though times my be tough, and life gets hard, I try to always find the good in life's situations.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in a house with four boys was not always easy. We had alot of differences, and we fought alot over things that really didnt have any eternal importance at all. Always trying to prove who was the best, looking for the best in ourselfs and not really the best in those around us. But i remeber that no matter how different with thought we were, no matter how bad the argument had been, we always forgave one another. I dont think I ever really understood why that was always the end result until I came on my mission. The answer just came to me one day when I was walking down the street with me companion. I was new to the mission and so he was training me in how to start a conversation about the gospel with somebody on the road. It came to my attention that i began to be doing everything that he was doing, word for word, following his example. And there in lies the answer. We follow the example of our supiriors, especially those we respect. Just as i followed my father and brother to serve a mission, I followed the example of my parents and forgave my brothers. And more importantly I followed the example of Jesus Christ, and loved them unconditionally. Why?- Because, no matter how different we are, no matter what the problem may be, we can find comfort in knowing that we are all sons and daughters of Heavenly Father, and he loves us. So why I am "Mormon"?- Because this is a Church rooted in the teaching of Jesus Christ, founded upon his love and organized the same way he organized it when he walked this earth. I'm Mormon, because i feel the love of God more fully in my life as I live and practice the things that I've been raised with, the teachings of this Church, each and everyday of my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, loving and serving the Lords children in the Lyon France Mission, which covers the South of France and a small piece of Switzerland. I'd be lying if i said that learning the French language isn't the hardest thing i've ever done, but it seems in life that the most rewarding experiences are those that require the most of us. To come on my mission was a tough choice for me. I prayed long and hard for many years to know if i was to serve a mission, but the anwser never came. At least not in a way that i, as a young teenager, could fully understand. So, as with all other things that may be difficult of hard to understand, God gave me an example. That example for me was my older brother, who made the choice and decided to heed the call to serve. He, just as my father did many years before, served the Lord faithfully for two years, giving me that extra example of how to more fully show our love and gratitude for Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.
