Hi I'm Alex

I'm from Nashville Tennessee. I love work and fun time with friends and family, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love work. I do High Voltage Electrical Testing. I have worked there since I was 16. I really love it. There is nothing better for me than sitting down to a good movie. I love cars and motorcycles. My family means the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I know it is what my Heavenly Father wants. I was born in the church, and I didn't always like being a Mormon. As a teenager I didn't understand faith very well. I let religion become an annoyance that held me back from having fun. As I learned and matured, I grew to understand that there is much more to life than fun. I found that as I did fun things, I was happy, but the happiness faded. As I grew Spiritually I came to feel a more lasting happiness, a source of peace. I began to study, ponder and pray more often. Slowly over time, I learned that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the real source of happiness in life. I learned that the fullness of the Gospel is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. All of my questions were answered, and everything seemed to fit in the church. Over time that knowledge has continued to increase, and the Gospel of Christ has become a more central part of my life.

How I live my faith

My faith is central to who I am. I love experiences where my faith comes into play in a non church setting. In my field of work, people often notice I am different simply because I do not swear. I love getting to attend church on Sunday's. I get to teach a class once a month, I wish it was more often! It is always so peaceful to simply see everyone, and feel a Spiritual boost every week.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Alex
We are asked to donate 10% of income to live the Law of Tithing. It is a commandment that Heavenly Father gave in Old Testament times, it is still a commandment today. God does not need our money, but humans need to give. It is a chance to show faith, and receive blessings from our Heavenly Father. Tithing also allows the Church to function in all its capacities.
