Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Christian Conservative living in Japan. I despise political correctness and secularism and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in Salem, Oregon and have lived there my whole life. My hobbies include reading, history, video games, and talking about my church. I also love talk radio, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and pretty much anything having to do with conservatism. As a natural result of this, I rather dislike political correctness (see introduction) and anything that prohibits free speech in general. I'm of the opinion that if you believe in something, whether it be a religion, philosophy, or an idea that you just thought up while perusing the internet, you should be free to express that idea with no fear of being stifled or bullied for your views (even if they're stupid). I personally think a belief in God and a firm moral foundation are the pillars and keys to a stable society and personal life. That's what my Church teaches and I am proud to be a member of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church and I've known that all which it teaches is true for as long as I can remember. That's not to say I never had doubts growing up, but time and time again I always found the answers I was looking for which reassured and strengthened my beliefs. One particular aspect of our faith that I've always really enjoyed is that we encourage people to ask questions and study about our religion and those of others. As someone who greatly enjoys history, I also thoroughly enjoy researching and learning about different cultures, religions, and philosophies in the world. As I've studied and prayed, I've come to the conclusion that there is indeed truth found in all faiths all over the world no matter where you go. However, I've also come to the sure conclusion that there is but one faith which contains the complete truth about where we came from, who we are, and where we are going after this life. That church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We do not seek as a faith to take away from that truth which others may already have. Rather, we wish to add on to and strengthen those cherished beliefs. God is always there waiting with open arms ready to help us with whatever it is we need. All we have to do is ask. "And I say unto you, ask and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh recieveth and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."- Luke 11:9-10

How I live my faith

As a church member I do my best to be an example to others and live according to what my faith teaches. I strive to follow Jesus Christ's teachings in my life and apply them to everything that I do. If the opportunity arises, I like to share my beliefs with other people and talk about what I believe. I also do my best to try and help others who are in need so I can make their lives a little bit happier than they were before.
