Hi I'm Yiselle

I'm serving in the Fort Collins, CO mission. I live for music. I'm from a small-ish town in North Carolina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love working with children and can't wait to have my own. I major in Family & Child Development with aspirations to be some kind of child counselor or psychologist. Working with the youth in general is a passion of mine. I also have an interest in wedding/event planning. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am serving in Fort Collins, CO. Being a missionary has truly changed my outlook on my personal life and life in general. I am forever thankful for the Lord leading me to the best decision I could make for my life at this time in my journey.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I'm Mormon because it has been proven to me time and time again, from the Lord sending me someone every single time I start to fall, to having that overwhelming feeling of truth at church on Sundays, that this church is Christ's church. I know He loves me and continues to show me every day. He's never left my side, and I know He never will. I have a testimony of this church and it's leaders. Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God. He and his counselors and apostles give us the revelation we need today. I have a testimony of the priesthood. I know that without it, a lot of things we are so lucky to have, such as father's blessings of comfort, would not be possible. I have a testimony of Joseph Smith. Visiting most of the LDS historical sites and seeing how he lived, what he and his family and followers went through, and knowing that they went through all of the persecution just for future generations to have the gospel in it's fullness makes me feel like I've been looked out for decades before I even came to this earth. I'm thankful for prayer and the comfort it brings knowing that my Heavenly Father is listening to me. I know He listens with love in His heart. This church and gospel is my home. I know that anywhere I go, whether it be Hawaii, Japan, or even South Africa, the teachings and feelings the spirit brings will be the same. If it wasn't for this church and it's teachings, I definitely would not be where I am in my life right now.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best example I can to those around me.Teaching children is one way that I can be a great example. I love teaching kids and helping teenagers see their true worth. As a missionary, I live my faith by being obedient to the commandments of God as well as adhering to the words spoken by the prophet and other general authorities. Obedience is very important to the things that the Lord wants us to do. And it may be hard at times, but we will always be blessed for it.
