Hi I'm Will Ballard

I love hangin' with my buds, throwin' down tracks, and drinking milk. And I'm a Mormon haha #tellyourfriends

About Me

Hello, my name is Will Ballard. I come from a family of 5; Mom, Dad, Myself, my older sis, and my younger bro. You could say we're tightly knit if you think a family with a constant use of sarcasm is legit. All in good fun of course. Out of anyone's family I could have possibly been born into, I'm glad it was them. Springville was a good place to spend half my childhood haha (Yes... that's in Utah). Living next to the mountains has it's perks. For example; Snowboarding! Ah! I love boarding down mountains. I guess I'm an adrenaline junky of sorts. And... Scary movies. Yup. I'm in love with anything musical! I love pingin' out junk on the guitar and screaming my lungs out when no one's around. Or just throwin' stuff down with my buddies, which brings me to my next point! One of the things I cherish most in my life are my friends. My friends, no matter what time period of my life, were the greatest to me and I've gained countless memories because of them. So to sum it up, Hi. I'm Will. And I'm a dream chasing wannabe hipster. Hah.. yeah...

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church all my life and never really realized the blessings I've had until a certain point in my life. I don't know why it took me so long except for the fact that I was pretty ignorant. Around my junior year of high school I had an experience where I had fallen too far off the path and our Heavenly Father had to sit me on my butt and get a reality check; step back and look at my life. I had been spiraling down and ignoring the help of those who legitimately cared and loved me. After coming to this realization, I sought out a way I could get rid of my past self and start new again. The gospel gave me that chance. I had had this gift ever since I could remember and I hadn't put it to use until now. Repentance was a hard path to take, but the end was worth all of the work. I felt clean again. For the first time in ages. I owe it to all of my Family, Friends, Ward, and most importantly our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, for all of the happiness I have been able to receive. This experience has lead me to work towards my Mission and getting ready for it. I wanted to be able to spread the joy I've been able to experience through the gospel to others who are in need of it. And now, I'm living that goal. I'm on my mission.

How I live my faith

Meeting people and getting to know them is how I believe, some may not, I live my faith. It's crazy how many different people are here in the world with you. The odds of that happening is ridiculous. Everyone has a story behind them and they're each so different. Everyone, with there story, has their needs and if all I can do to help is be a friend, well, I'll try my best. I'm also currently a Missionary for this very church. I've been called to help spread the Lord's gospel around the Earth. Help others realize that our God up in heaven does in fact love us with all of his heart. I've never been more content with how I'm living my life than I am now; spreading the Lord's gospel to everyone, well, at least everyone in the Northern Alberta area. Edmonton-ish... Yup.
