Hi I'm Amanda

I was born and raised in Utah. I love Frisbee. I love to Roller Blade. I love the Outdoors. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I have recently finished 2 years of college and have now been called to serve a mission. No matter how stressful and overwhelming and burdensome life gets i know that through my daily prayer and scripture study i can get through anything! I love the outdoors, being in God's creations and constantly being reminded of him. Camping is something I have always enjoyed doing with my family. I love that we can just put away all cares of the world and enjoy time together without any distractions. My family is the one thing i care about the most, no matter how often we get in arguments and disagree and believe me we have really bad days but we still always love each other no matter what. In my family I'm the second oldest and only girl. So me and my mom have always had a great relationship, i find i can talk to her about everything. I have also always been my daddy's little girl, which I love! Growing up I've always spent time out in the yard with my dad and its something i have missed as I have gotten older and gone out to live on my own. I enjoy photography again enjoying God's creations and the beauty around me. I love playing Frisbee and roller bladeing. I Enjoy using my imagination doing crafts. I hope to be a stay at home mom someday, I love children and have worked closely with them all my life. I love this Gospel and Know that its true with all my heart!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have studied and prayed about LDS gospel principles and found out for myself in my life that it is true. I have peace in my heart and mind. I love the feeling i get when i go to church and the love that i feel from my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in my day to day life. I am a Mormon, Because I am the happiest when i keep the commandments and live the standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Mormon because I know its true, I've read the Book of Mormon and Prayed to my Heavenly Father asking to know if this is the true church on the earth today, and with out a shadow of doubt in my mind he revealed to me through the holy ghost that this is the true church and that he love me more than I know! I'm a Mormon and I'm proud of it!

How I live my faith

I have always tried living by the standards of the church. whether it be dressing modestly, being a friend to those who may not have many. Being honest in everything i do and say and trying to always have a positive attitude, with a smile on my face knowing everything will work out. I have served in numerous church callings growing up as a young women and even throughout college as a single adult. I make sure to read the Book of Mormon everyday and pray to my Heavenly Father morning and night, Because I know that I am truly the happiest when i do. Something that has really helped me live day to day in this difficult world is knowing I am a Daughter of God, Who love me for me. Nothing more and nothing less! When i find myself stressed out or overwhelmed, I find my self thinking of the things I'm grateful for and trying to point out all the many blessings i have in my life. All of these things that i do daily are ways I live the gospel and keep moving forward in faith.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A Testimony is what you believe to be true. It is the knowledge you have come to know of the church through praying and receiving answers from the holy ghost. You gain a testimony a little at a time through your experiences. When I share my testimony I feel inside my heart and mind peace and happiness and truth and knowledge that what I am saying is true.
