Hi I'm Anita

Hi. I'm Anita I was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama.. I love family, friends, work, church, and the library

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Cottonwood Alabama I grew up with a lot of good friends and I graduated high school in 2003. I love my family especially my grandparents.. They were very strong in their belief in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, they weren't all that active in church growing up but they did teach us the things that they knew about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that we needed to help make the right decisions in our lives.. I was so blessed to have good friends around me growing up.. They kept me on the straight and narrow path.. Jesus Christ is my life I love him and am thankful for my Savior and Exemplar!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was first given an excerpt from the Book of Mormon, 3 Nephi chapter 11 and as I read it I really liked it so I decided to meet with the Elders more and more and as I was taught more and more about the church I wasn't sure to join at first but I felt in my heart to stay with it and keep going to church and eventually I knew that it was true and so I decided to join the church and that is why I decided to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I read the Book of Mormon a lot and also the Relief society book Daughters in My Kingdom! I love to read the ensign and try to follow the teachings that Jesus Christ taught me.. I strive to keep the commandments and I love to do my best and love those around me that I work with.. I try to pray everyday and keep negative spirits away from me so that I can be happy.. I am the assistant bulletin board coordinator with another lady in the ward and I love my calling and the opportunity to serve the church.. And I love to come up with different ideas to try and magnify my calling! I love the church and am grateful to be a member of it I also like to meet with the missionaries weekly and read from the Book of Mormon with them!

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

I believe the purpose of life is that we're here to do our Heavenly Father's will and to serve his children because he wants us all to return to him.. He has sent us here so we can learn and grown and discover the difference between good and evil and also between joy and sorrow. He wants us to be as happy as we can be and that's why he has given us his Son and his gospel. Show more Show less
