Hi I'm Lacey

I love the outdoors. I also like hiking and Zumba! I'm preparing to serve a mission in Carlsbad, CA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Lacey. I have grown up in Arizona my whole life and I love it here. I like camping, hiking, and most forms of exercise. Music is a part of my everyday life, whether it be through the radio or the instruments I play. My family and the Gospel are the two most important things in my life. I am currently preparing to serve a full time mission in the California, Carlsbad Mission, Spanish Speaking, and I could not be more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it brings me so much happiness. I know that this church is true and I know it is the one sure way to have joy. When times are hard, the Gospel is what helps me endure and keep faithful. It also keeps me safe and clean.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I am a ward missionary and I often teach lessons in the women's class. As part of my calling (or volunteer job) as a ward missionary, I visit those in the church who may need some help or just a friendly visit. I will soon be a full time missionary where I will share the Gospel with people each day and help bring them unto Christ.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Baptism is the first saving ordinance. Because not everybody has the opportunity to get baptized on Earth, we act as proxy for them by performing baptisms in their behalf. They have the option of accepting or declining the ordinance in what you may know as "the other side" or "the spirit world." Show more Show less

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

When Mormons go to church, we wear "Sunday Best," meaning the women wear dresses and skirts with nice blouses, and the men wear slacks with a shirt and tie. Sometimes the men wear suits. Mormons celebrate most holidays, minus other religious holidays such as Hanukkah. Show more Show less
