Hi I'm Sherry

I was raised in Gunnison, Colorado. I started out in the Baptist Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 2 and I work at home, which allows me the opportunity to be with my two year old most the time. We run a mobile BBQ trailer that travels all over the state and and into other states as well, so we are on the road alot. This is offers GREAT opportunities for our son to learn from others as well as see different historical sites. We try to make each work trip a family learning event as well. We do have a regular route for when we are not doing events. This gives us time to rejuvinate and renew our strength. We do try to attend Sacrament Meetings where ever we land.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I researched and found that this is the True Church and it is the only one that is what Christ taught about in the New Testament. There are a lot of Christian Churches out there, however they only have a small piece of the puzzle. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the True Church restored. I feel like The Book of Mormon is the glue that puts the Old Testament and the New Testament together and makes it all easier to understand.

How I live my faith

I try to start every day with prayer and end every day with prayer. There are many prayers in between as well. Our family has evening scripture reading and prayer everynight before we tuck our 2 year old into bed. Then he is also learning to say his prayers. We also serve whenever possible. We give generously what we have, usually food.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Sherry
This is not only a Mormon request. Most Christian churches ask this of it's members due to it being scripturally sound. Show more Show less
