Hi I'm Colton

I grew up in Salt Lake City, I am a returned missionary from the Budapest Hungary mission. I love sports. Im a mormon

About Me

I am a 22 year old boy that expects great things of himself. I have completed my associates degree and am pursuing the field of physical therapy. I have recently returned home from my mission in Hungary and it was definitely the best 2 years of my life. I love being outside! In particular playing baseball, basketball, golf, volleyball, and football! I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all my life. I have grown up in the church, have been influenced by it a lot, but more importantly I have found out for myself and have developed a testimony of this gospel. I have wanted to serve a mission my entire life, I told myself as a boy that nothing would stand in the way of me serving a mission, and I am very proud to say that nothing has. This gospel brings nothing but happiness, joy, peace, and comfort. I am very blessed with amazing parents, leaders, siblings, family, and friends who have helped me become who I am now. With the help of Jesus Christ we can do ALL things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is my choice. I have seen the amazing happiness and peace that it brings to my life that cannot be replaced by anything. I have witness my heavenly father's hand in my life and whenever i stand in need of comfort he is there. The hymn "I Stand All Amazed" pops into my head whenever I think about this gospel. "He suffered, he bled and died". Christ did the atonement for us so that we could live with our heavenly father again, he wanted us to have the opportunity to repent and be like him. I know that Joseph Smith restored this church because he had a question, decided to pray and ask for help, in a grove of trees. He did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and restore the priesthood keys. This gospel is one of happiness and if it is lived the way we should it will bless us in ways we will never be able to comprehend.

How I live my faith

I participated in my ward or branch by teaching little children and also teaching adults. I have found that it is easy to live my faith as long as I serve in my callings and my heavenly father with a full heart and a humble attitude. I try to be a good example to others and by doing so I hope that it will bring others to the gospel. I live my faith by being a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and sacrificing time and things of the world so that I can serve my Heavenly Father. I believe that Faith is an action word. I try and act as Christ would act on a daily basis because I know that people watch my behavior, and I want them to know I am a disciple of Christ through my actions.
