Hi I'm Michael Johnston

I'm a Latter-day Saint (Mormon).

About Me

I like listening to music a lot, mainly hardcore punk, metal, and rock. I own over 300 CDs with lots more to go. I like to go on walks with no destination or direction in mind and I listen to whatever I feel like at the time. Music is also a great tool (and friend) when doing art projects that can take all night to complete. I'm currently attending Durham College for Animation - Digital Production Arts. It is my 2nd year of three and I really enjoy the program. I plan on being an animator when I finish school as opposed to a modeler, or a texturer, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Latter-day Saint (or Mormon), because I have a testimony of the gospel that Jesus Christ restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith by revelation, just as the current prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson, gives us revelation. I have a testimony of the Lord's atonement and the wonder of it. Through the Lord's atonement we can return to him and that we can also abolish hate, misery, and despair on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I may have struggled with activity in the church a couple of times in my life, but I know it is where I want to be. I love my Saviour and have a wonderful relationship with Him. I'm the strongest I have ever been in the gospel. I know I can remain strong if I continually pray and read my scriptures each day, and attend church each Sunday. Through these methods as well as fulfilling my callings, going to activities, and trying to be a better person each day is how I remain faithful. There is no greater joy in my life.
