Hi I'm Kawika

Aloha. I am Hawaiian. I love my culture. I love my family. I love my God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

He Kanaka Maoli no au. I am a native Hawaiian. I love my culture, family, friends and most of all Ke Akua, my God. I love to exercise, surf, hula, hike, be in the outdoors. I am a fluent speaker of the Hawaiian language and one that respects and honors my rich Hawaiian heritage and culture. I went to a special grade school where only the Hawaiian language was spoken. During all of our sports games or other events we would olelo, speak in native tongue. I love to read and learn of the stories of my ancestors and how they traveled the pacific only by means of wooden double hulled canoes and the natural elements. I am born and raised in the islands. I love my family and the humble upbringing that i had.

Why I am a Mormon

I am born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was baptized at the age of eight. Went to church every sunday because thats what my family did. I came to know the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ through reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. The values and teachings of the church have helped me become a better person by teaching me about the greatest example that ever came to this earth, Jesus Christ. I have felt of his love and influence in my life and want to share his message of love with the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I am currently on mission in the Philippines San Pablo Mission. I love to share the great message of the gospel of Jesus Chirst and share how we can get closer to Him.
