Hi I'm Colin

I love the ocean, I love to explore, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. Along with my parents, I have two sisters and one brother. I am the second oldest child just after my older sister. Life at home is not perfect, but I wouldn't trade anything for my family. I love to learn. Right now, I am a student at Brigham Young University, studying Mechanical Engineering. My dream is to become a Biomedical Engineer. My favorite place to be in the entire world is on or around the ocean. I love just about any sport, but my favorite sports include riding a board of some sort. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Washington D.C. where I will be teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in the French language. I report to the MTC on September 12th, 2012.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness I feel as I live the teachings of Jesus Christ. Being born into a faithful family, I have grown up being taught the lessons and reading the scriptures, however I have still been converted. I have found out for myself that as I make righteous decisions and obey the commandments, I can feel peace and joy in my life. This comfort is undeniable, I have prayed earnestly for guidance in my life and found happiness in direct correlation to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that as I make mistakes, I am not condemned to everlasting torment in sin, but that I can repent and be forgiven because of Jesus Christ and the atonement. I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and for the knowledge it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through study, prayer, and experience. I learn how to become more like our Savior. I try to serve those around me, and be an example. I go to Church on Sundays, to take the Sacrament. I have chosen to serve a 2 year mission so I can share the truthfulness of the Gospel and the blessings of peace and happiness that come with living a life in harmony with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
