Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm an average girl who likes playing video games. I plan on becoming an ASL Interpreter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play video games of all sorts. Rock wall climbing and Ice skating are high on my list of fun things to do. I am attending college while living it home as well as working part-time. I hope to travel the world someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of this church since I was a little girl. Yes I've had doubts, and then I got over them. I realized that following the principles found in this church have made me so much happier than when I choose to not follow them. Logically, I wanted to be happy, so I decided to make better choices, and indeed found that I was happier than should ever be allowed. :) I know this church is true, and that by following the commandments given to us by the prophets we truely can be happy, and we can return home to our dear Heavenly Father. He loves us more than we know.

How I live my faith

Recently I've been attending my local young single adult ward. We have fun activities, and the support from that ward is amazing. However, I'm about to leave to serve a mission in Managua, Nicaragua. I'm thoroughly excited!

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Jennifer
Men are not higher than women. It isn't that they are better, and therefore they hold the preisthood. There is not way that is true. We are equal. And because we are equal, the men need something to do. Women are the only people who can give birth. It's our responsibility to be good mothers, and to raise our children with good values. My own mother likes to joke, "If women had the priesthood, there would be no need for men on the earth." Men and women have their own responsibilities and tasks. That doesn't mean that men can't be good fathers, or that women can't work in business. Just that in this case it is the man's responsibility to hold the priesthood, and the woman's to have children. That's how I see it, and in that sense it's completely find with me. Show more Show less
