Hi I'm Royal

I grew up in Boulder Colorado. I teach at a University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play all kinds of games. I paint miniatures. I am a father to 5 wonderful children. I am married to an amazing spouse who grows more beautiful every day. I teach courses about students who have exceptional needs to teacher candidates. I present research and information at national and international conferences. I love to read books, especially fantasy fiction. I enjoy watching movies. I am learning to play the bass guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

During my youth I attended church meetings and would listen to the faith and testimony of others. I was inspired and could feel the spirit of God speaking to me, but it wasn't until I was a teenager that I became converted to the gospel. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. My answer came, and I have worked every day to understand more about Jesus Christ. Today, I can clearly see how all of my blessings are a result of faith, and relying on the saving power of the atonement provided by Jesus Christ. Having the priesthood authority restored to the Earth has provided a way to bless the lives of all of God's children, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve Him. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves us all. I live every day to serve Him and to work toward my salvation as well as the salvation of my family.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life promoting unconditional positive regard for each person I meet. I enjoy attending my church meetings as well as participating in activities that happen during the week. I often have opportunities to council with the other men in the church about service and living according to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also enjoy singing with the choir at church, and conducting the music during stake meetings for men. At home I lead my family in scripture study and prayer, and work to foster a home where Christ is at the center of all we do.
