Hi I'm Bob Morrison

I was born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, the heart of deer country. My ancestors have lived here since 1828.

About Me

I am the eldest of 9 children. I am the father of 6 and have been married 41 years. I live on the Morrison homestead which has been in my family since 1880. I appreciate the outdoors. My membership in the Church is of paramount importance in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am most grateful for the plan of salvation laid out by the Father since before the creation that will give me the opportunity to return to live with Him. While there is so much more for me to involve myself with, I do try to daily read my scriptures and pray. I also enjoy working with our local missionaries as they teach those that have expressed an interest in the Church along with other members.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in the Church as it helps me to help others draw closer to our Heavenly Father. I currently serve as the Branch President. I am very grateful for my home teaching assignments. I am greatly blessed as I get to visit with very great families.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Bob Morrison
Our tithing that we give to the Lord goes to pay for our buildings including local chapels and temples. It is also used to for materials such as books and other learning aids. Show more Show less

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Bob Morrison
The Church welfare system is to me, another indication that this is the Lord's Church here upon the earth. The program is designed to lift and uplift both the giver and the recipient. Those that contribute receive blessings from the Lord for thier generosity, knowing that all that we have comes from God. The recipient is blessed in two ways. Firstly, there is an uplift at times of stress and challenge. They are also blessed with the opportunity to serve others. The program is designed to assist those in need to help themselves, to become more self-sustaining. As a leader, it is also a blessing to me to be able to see the burdens of those in need lifted somewhat. Show more Show less
