Hi I'm Stefhanie

I'm Brazilian. I'm a missionary. I love soccer and sushi! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Brazil and absolutely love my country. I love my people, the culture, the food and most of all the beach! I love books! I love soccer too! In Brazil this is normal, even for a girl. I played handball pretty much my whole life. I also play the flute, but I can't do it in public, I freak out. I'm not normal and I love to be different. I love Batman, old cars (I want to have a Maverick one day), I love ESPN and Casablanca. I graduated from Interior Design but I changed my mind and I went to Law School, after a while I decided to serve a mission. So right now I'm a full-time missionary in Utah, I represent Christ, my family and my country. I like to help other people as much as I can. We are five in my family, I have an older brother and a younger sister. My first nephew was born during my mission. I love my family! I am who I am because of the wonderful parents that God allowed me to have here on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my whole life, my parents were converted to the gospel when they were both 18 years old. They always taught me to exercise my faith and to keep the commandments. My mother was the key to my conversion. Even though I’ve been a member of the church my whole life, she was the one who really helped me see how amazing is this gospel. I grew up going to church every Sunday, seeing my parents being leaders in almost all organizations, having scripture study and family prayer constantly, it was really a good home. But in my teen years I started to question some teachings. My wise mom told me to not cast out everything that I had been taught, but to apply it and see the results of my efforts. So I did. It was not a powerful answer, it was not an overwhelming experience, and instead it was something sweet and quiet. I felt that I just knew it my whole life that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. That it was in my system. It was in every fiber of my body. And since then I’ve been trying to let my mother and specially my Heavenly Father proud of me, doing all that I can to honor Christ’s name. I am happy living the gospel, and I know that my Savior lives and He loves me. This gospel simply makes sense.

How I live my faith

I try to do the best that I can to be a good disciple of Jesus Christ. Even though life sometimes isn't easy, I have good ways to solve my problems. I turn to the Book of Mormon, prayer, words of the modern-day prophets, fasting and my patriarchal blessing. I was a Primary teacher for a long time, I used to teach children age 18 months to 11 years old, and I loved every moment. I learned more than I taught them. Now I'm a missionary for the church, serving in Utah. Everyday I invite people to come unto Christ and to find a never-ending happiness. I'll never regret for the decision to serve a full-time mission.
