Hi I'm Brad

I'm a husband, father and grandfather. I'm an IT professional and a runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Utah and still love it here. I was baptized into the church at the age of 8 like most young Mormons but I've also always felt it was right for me. I served as a missionary in the England Manchester Mission (EMM) and had 2 years of great experiences. Those experiences, along with the example of my family and friends helped shape me into the person I am today. My wife and I have been married for 30 years and have 4 wonderful children and 5 grandchildren. Everything we do is centered around our family and living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for my membership in the church and the teachings it has provided my family. I can't imagine what life would be without the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. No one has forced me to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love the teachings of the church and the way it has helped me raise my family. I've read The Book of Mormon (several times) and prayed about it. I've received a personal witness that it's teachings are true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the living church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. There is a living prophet on the earth today that teaches us what the Lord wants us to know. If we follow the prophet we will be blessed. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had many callings in the church. I am currently serving as the executive secretary to our Bishop. This gives me an opportunity to associate with many great people and see how they serve in the church. One of my favorite callings was serving as a Scoutmaster. I loved scouting when I was young and had some great leaders who helped me progress as a young man. I also learned to appreciate scouting from the example of my dad. For as long as I can remember he was involved in scouting. It was a great opportunity to work with the young men. We had a lot of fun during our week long scout camps as well as our regular camp outs and hikes. I hope I was a good example to them and gave them experiences that they will remember for the rest of their life.
