Hi I'm Johanna

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore in college, majoring in Neuroscience, with the hope of attending medical school and becoming a neurosurgeon. One of my goals is to be able to travel to countries in need and offer my medical training as a way to lift up and love others. I am the second of four girls in my family and enjoy every time I spend with them. My hobbies include swimming (I was on the Varsity Swim Team for four years in high school--Captain senior year), theater (I performed in 12 musical productions in high school, in addition to being a member of the International Thespian Troupe), and reading as many books as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this Church brings out the best in people. It provides me with the knowledge of who I am and where I am going. The Church's standards allow me to live my life to its fullest without getting sidetracked by insignificant things. It brings clarity to the opaque and unyielding things of this world; the knowledge of a Heavenly Father's love, a Savior, Jesus Christ, who sacrificed His life to help me, the infinite promise of eternal families, and its ability to bring the best out in people and allow them to see that they matter to Heavenly Father. God's love for us is constant and He has provided us with so many opportunities to grow and learn that only through serving others am I able to comprehend a fraction of the unadulterated love that He has for us. It brings reason, purpose to life. It brings a love to and for life that cannot be fully explained.

How I live my faith

I strive each day to be a positive example and see people as Jesus Christ does. I am preparing myself to serve as a full-time missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Belgium and the Netherlands for 18 months to help others come unto Christ and realize His plan for all of us individually and recognize the great potential we all have.
