Hi I'm Marjorie

I am a college grad, wife, mom of 6, avid runner, school director and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I studied Theater and Dance in college and upon graduation started a career in fitness as well. Married my husband almost 29 years ago and together we have 6 amazing children, ages 16 to 26. I am the director for a private preschool/Kindergarten and love children. I also love the outdoors, the mountains, the beach and I love to run! I was raised in the Catholic Church but always searched for a better knowledge of my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. Always had lots of questions. Always wanted to know why. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I found knowledge and answers in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I found a way to be with my family forever. I found a firm foundation, peace and joy in my life. I look forward with great hope to being with my family together in the eternities. The world can be a confusing place with changing morals and values; I am so thankful for my knowledge of the gospel and testimony of my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

When I became pregnant with my first child, my husband and I wanted to find a church family. This was important to us because we could see at that time that the world would throw many opportunities to make wrong choices at our children. We felt a strong church family would help us teach them good morals, values and character. When we began investigating churches, we were drawn to the LDS church. As we learned the doctrine, read the Book of Mormon, got to know the missionaries and members, and prayed for knowledge, I knew that this was the church that my father in heaven wanted to me to raise my family. I was baptized, followed by my husband, and it was the best decision we have ever made.

How I live my faith

I have been a Cross Country and Track Coach for 10 years. I volunteer in many organizations in my community. The service I do at my church is the most meaningful to me. I have been blessed to work in many different capacities and currently work with the children ages 18 months to 12 years. They have very special and loving spirits that uplift me when I am around them. I also enjoy the youth of the church, young men and women ages 12 to 18. They are an inspiration to me and motivate me to do and be my best so that I can set a great example for them. The experiences I have had in my church callings have brought me even closer to my Savior, as I attempt to do his will.
