Hi I'm LeGrande

Being a Mormon isn't just a title, it's a way of life in which Christ becomes a foundation and a central focus.

About Me

I was born under the covenant to goodly parents who raised and taught me about the ways of God. My parents have been great examples of Christians and disciples of God and made every effort to insure that I had a happy and fulfilling childhood. When I was a teenager I thought I knew it all and hardened my heart and lost my sense of priorities. Through poor choices I fell away from the church, joined the military and tried to take on the world on my own. God showed me through many life experiences that man's strength will eventually fail but through God and our faith, He will strengthen us; I have learned that all things can be possible. I was truly converted and received a full testimony when I was 40 years of age.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost has bore witness that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's true church restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith did indeed see Jesus Christ and God the Father and that he was instrumental through the power of God to translate the golden plates and return lost truths and the fullness of the gospel back to the earth. It took me many years but through faithful efforts in reading and understanding the scriptures the gospel of Jesus Christ is clear and complete. I have no doubt that this Church is governed by God, led by Prophets and Apostles and carried out by the efforts of faithful servants to fill the whole world and bring souls unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I constantly strive for refinement in myself that I may be better tomorrow than today by following my Savior's example to love one another and align my life with His. I am married to a companion that strengthens and supports me as I seek to become the man that my Father in Heaven wants me to become. As the head of my household I realize the sacred calling that comes with that title and strive to be Christ-like and be the best example to my wife and children. I recognize the importance of the Priesthood as a means to serve those around me, to perform church callings, and in leading my household by example.
