Hi I'm Austin

I teach French in High School and coach soccer on the side to support my beautiful family of 4. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently teach an IB (International Baccalaureate) French program at my high school preparing students to speak French fluently upon graduation. I also coach the high school soccer team. I have a beautiful family with two giggly little girls and an hyperactive dog. I love all sports, traveling abroad, and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family that stopped attending church for various reasons, but while in high school I met a couple of friends that were just that, friends. They invited me to hang out with them, and then to attend church functions. It all started out with me going to a church basketball game with different congregations playing against each other. From there I started yearning for a knowledge of the gospel and I cam to know for myself that it was true. My family was supportive and while in high school they too returned to church. I continue to attend my church faithfully because I have seen the two sides of church membership with an extended family that doesn't not attend chruch, and my own family that does. I know that as a member of Christ's church I have greater happiness and joy in my personal life and with my family. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us that through the authority of God I can live my family even after this life; that alone brings me great joy.

How I live my faith

For church I am currently in charge of all things music in my congregation. I choose songs to be sung and lead the music on Sunday. I'm involved with a little congregational choir and help organise authentic amateur music performances in church.
