Why I am a Mormon

I found Christ over 50 years ago in Lincoln, Nebr. I had been searching for over 2 years. Attending Youth for Christ meetings, pray meetings at the base and going to many churches. When I attended my first meeting of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint the spirit overcame me and I knew this was the church I was looking for.

How I live my faith

I joined the Mormon Church over 50 years ago. Have been a lay minister (Bishop), worked with the youth, scoutmaster. Have held many leaderships positions. Spent many hours each week training and teaching welfare principles. Was called by the church as a Regional Welfare Specialist for over 7 year. Worked with local and government Welfare Agencies to help the needy. Worked with the missionaries in our area. Currently servings a mission in Virginia. Will be part of the newly formed mission "Virginia Chesapeake Mission" We have been on our mission for 9 months with 9 to go. We love the work. Love the people and have a testimony of the restored gospel.
