Hi I'm Brandi Meeks

I'm an Army Man's Daughter who loves the violin, laughing, and watching a good movie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of 5 kids, 3 brothers and 1 sister. My brother just older than me and I are very close, he is one of my best friends. We do everything together. My mother and father have always been a huge part of my life, if you look up "daddy's girl" in the dictionary you will probably see my picture there. My mother has always been a great example of fun to me, growing up she was always laughing and loved being around family that is definitely something she has instilled in me. I was always the little sister who looked up to her older siblings and wanted to be like them, they were all so amazing in my eyes and had qualities I really wanted. We had fun together. As a youth I moved all over the United States, due to my father's military service. I am so grateful for the opportunity I've had to be able to meet so many different people through my travels, it has helped me to be an open person who loves to talk and help people the best I know how.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that had deep Mormon roots. However growing up we would attend church off and on, I hate to say it but church was sometimes more of a social thing for me. I soon stopped going all together when I began my junior year of high school. Over the summer between my Junior and Senior year I met a great leader and one of my best friends Amy. Amy played a role in my conversion to Jesus Christ, as I said she was a leader, she lead me to really want to learn more about the Book of Mormon so I read it and knelt down and prayed about it. The answer did not come to be all at once but slowly I felt my life changing for the better and I could feel my Saviors love so much more in my daily life. I felt subtle promptings that it was true. Coming to a knowledge that it was true I knew God had a promise for me as I lived the Gospel, eternal life with him and my family. It's enough of a drive for me to live more like my Savior everyday and to have peace. I have an eternal perspective that I cherish so much in both hard and good times.

How I live my faith

Living my faith in this world day to day can sometimes be a difficult road but I know that as I serve where I can and keep on the path the Lord wants me on that he will guide me through times a trial. I try each and everyday to become more like my Savior. I try to improve and become better through the lesson I learn. I hope to show my love for people when I first meet them because I know the Savior does. Being Mormon is not just a Sunday thing for me. It is who I am. I know that I am a daughter of the most powerful being, I know we all are children of God and because of that I try very hard to see that all of us are just trying to find the road that leads us to God.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Brandi Meeks
Yes. Christ said he had "other sheep", the Book of Mormon is evidence of this. He was able to minister to the people living on the America continents and show them his resurrected body. Show more Show less
