Hi I'm Steven

I was born in Ohio, I grew up in Wichita Kansas, and I love History and stories. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy History, Science Fiction, Fantasy and other things in reading. I Fenced in High-School, and I payed attention in class. I enjoy studying history by asking about what could have happened if things went different, and I like to think I have a good idea of what is going on. I enjoy nice hats and good coats.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true scripture. The Bible testifies of it, archeology testifies of it, the shear impossibility of it coming about in any other way than the way Joseph Smith said it did testifies of it, and the consistency of the book itself testifies of its truthfulness; as it fits too well with everything else for him to have just made it up. But more important than any of that is the fact that I have prayed and asked God if the Book of Mormon is his word, and he sent his Holy Spirit to bring me the greatest peace of mind that I have ever experienced. At other times I have felt a warmth that can only come by the spirit of truth, and so I know that the book is true scripture. Because of this I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know that this is Christ's church with his authority, and that it is led by a prophet of God today. I know that God loves us, and wants to be part of our lives, and that he will be a part of our lives if we are willing to let him.

How I live my faith

I try my best to do what is asked of me, because that is what faith ultimately is, a willingness to act. I do my best to lean what I should do by attending church, reading my scriptures, and thinking about what stuff actually means. I am not the best at seeing stuff to do without instruction, so these things help me a lot. I know that through my faithfulness to Christ I will receive grace sufficient to move past my shortcomings, and I know that he will save me as long as I will let him.
