Hi I'm Michell Davis Tyre

I grew up in Ohio. I am a mother of 5. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello. I am Michelle and I LOVE to teach. I home school my children and teach in many different classes in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My hobbies in the past have included digital scrap-booking, singing in various groups including a girls barbershop, and running. I play the clarinet and marched in the marching band while in high school. Now days my world is centered around my family, my community, and God's church. I love to watch my children grow and progress in their talents. I love to feel close to my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have spent countless hours studying, praying, and listening for truth. I know I have found it when I prayerfully ask and receive a confirmation of poignant peace and comforting love. Once I find this truth, I am committed to living it. In all His days, the Savior never gave up doing His Father’s will but continued in righteousness, goodness, mercy, and truth to the end of His mortal life. One of the most important truths I have found is that families are of highest priority in Heavenly Father's plan for us here on earth. I have read with my family the Bible and the Book of Mormon. We feel the Holy Spirit confirming in our hearts that these books are the words of God. God loves all of us so much. I also feel the Spirit when I listen to our prophet as he speaks loving words from God. I know that we are loved and that we can receive counsel from our Heavenly Father directly to us. This is called "personal revelation". I have prayed and asked for help with my family, answers to questions, and (most importantly) I have asked to know if this church is true. Through personal revelation I have received an overwhelming peace and joy that I am in the church of Jesus Christ. It is His church. As I continue to live the right way by following the basic 10 commandments and then purifying my mind and heart by following Jesus Christs "Semon on the Mount" I know that I can continue to hear the voice of God, and make correct decisions for myself and my family while we are here on earth. I know that I will always "know" truth when I hear it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by showing my commitment to Jesus Christ's example of service and commitment to TRUTH. I am convinced that serving children in your home and in the community will bring us closer to Christ. I also know that when we serve others we are serving our Lord, Jesus Christ. I feel close to Him as I give loving, quiet service. Whether drawing water from a well, cooking a meal of fish, or washing dusty feet, the Savior spent His days serving others—lifting up the weary and strengthening the weak. I am also committed to learning and following TRUTH. I have spent countless hours studying, praying, and listening for truth. I know I have found it when I prayerfully ask and receive a confirmation of poignant peace and comforting love. Once I find truth, I am committed to living it. In all His days, the Savior never gave up doing His Father’s will but continued in righteousness, goodness, mercy, and truth to the end of His mortal life. One of the most important truths I have found is that families are of highest priority in Heavenly Father's plan for us here on earth. I have resolved to cherish those I love by spending meaningful time with them, doing things together, and cultivating treasured memories.
