Hi I'm Alex

I grew up in Omaha NE, I am serving a full time mission in the Fukuoka Japan Mission, I love my life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to college for a year in Hawaii before I came to Japan to serve a full time mission. I was a wrestler in high school, and I enjoy all kinds of sports. I have a black belt in Judo and I enjoy training Mixed Martial Arts in my free time. Some of my goals in life are to embarrass my parents, get married in the temple and have an eternal family, and eventually become a doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a Mormon when I was seventeen years old. When I was seventeen I moved to Japan to study Japanese and Judo. During that time I met many people and had many experiences that led me to the truth of this gospel. Now I am a full time Missionary and i am able to show people every day the beauty and wonder of this gospel. I am so thankful for the opportunity to help others in any way possible. Also one important thing for me is an eternal family. I know that i will be able to live with my family again, even after we pass away. Also i am looking forward to being with my wife and kids for longer than this life alone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always striving to do what is right. Being a good example is of the most important and most effective ways most of us will influence other people in our lives. Right now I am serving a full time mission in the Japan Fukuoka Mission, hoping to act as a good example to family, friends, and those around me. I volunteer all day every day teaching English, teaching about Christianity, and doing various projects for the current community that I am in. I wake up every day at 6:30 am, often do manual labor with few or no breaks throughout the day in the hot sun, and chose to have limited communication with my friends and family for two years to focus on serving the Lord. All of this, and I couldn't be happier.
