Hi I'm Jenna Higgins

I love sports, my family, and doing all I can. Serving others & seeing them smile makes me happy. I love my Savior! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love playing sports and will always try playing a new sport that I have not played before because I love competing and learning more about sports. I also love traveling to new places and learning about different cultures, since it is interesting and it helps me be more educated about our world. Currently though, I am serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the West Virginia Charleston Mission! I absolutely love being a missionary and being a representative of Jesus Christ because it brings me so much joy and happiness. I love learning and studying about this gospel but also about anything because it teaches me so much about who I am and what I can become. I love to just have fun, smile, and laugh because it makes your day so much better. Being happy is my thing because I always try to find the positive in everything even if it's the little things. That helps me so much to know that we are always being blessed by our Heavenly Father even when we sometimes feel that things aren't always working for out benefit. I love being a missionary, I love having new experiences, and I love overcoming challenges that are placed in my path!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and have stayed a part of it because I know that it is true and that it blesses my life all the time. There came a time when I needed to figure out if this was true and if it was for me or not, so I started really praying and studying the Book of Mormon to know if was from God. It didn't come right away, but I did get an answer and now I can say that I do know that this church is true and life is so wonderful because I have it in my life! There is so much knowledge that we can gain and learn from in this gospel that every day is worth it because we can learn something new that will help us. I want to learn all I can so I try to progress and change every day to become a little better and be closer to my Savior. Ultimately, that is our goal and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will get me closer to my Savior because we have such a deep knowledge of who we are and why we are here. I can't express how grateful I am for my Savior and for all that He went through, including giving up His life,...for you and for me. To know that we each are so known and loved by our Heavenly Father makes me so happy because I can say that I truly am a daughter of God. This gospel, centered on Jesus Christ and His atonement, is absolutely amazing and has changed me for the better because I know that it is God's restored church on the earth again. I know that I can have God's image in my countenance through this gospel, and that makes me so happy!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by the actions I make, the words I speak, and the thoughts I think. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for this gospel! I decided to go on a mission for 18 months and that is a huge testament of faith to me because it strengthens my testimony each day. If I didn't know that this church was true, that we are led and guided by a true prophet on the earth today, that the Book of Mormon is true and can change our lives, then I wouldn't be out here sacrificing some of my life for this gospel. Since I do know that it is true and I cannot deny it then that makes all the difference. I know who I represent, who I follow, and who I can turn to for help- Jesus Christ and He is the perfect example for us. Through Him, we can change our lives to become happier and more holy. We can increase our faith by seeing what we are blessed with each day. I live my faith by taking time to read from the Book of Mormon, saying sincere prayers, serving others, and being an example to everyone around me. The little things I do each day add up to great things in my life, and teach me even more about my very own relationship with Jesus Christ. Because I know Him, I want others to have their own relationship with Him because He will bless us, heal us, comfort us, and walk beside us. Why would I not want to share what I have been given and what I have come to know? My faith is what defines me and what no one can take away from me because I have a witness for myself!
