Hi I'm Spencer

I play the cello. I want to become a doctor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I've played the cello since I was a little boy and (thanks to the perseverance of my loving parents) I still love playing it today. I enjoy any kind of outdoor activity. I often go on runs and bike rides through the hills near my house. I just completed high school and am in the process of figuring out the rest of my life. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. Throughout my life, I've had many experiences that have caused me to want to give up and just survive. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that has given me lasting, tangible happiness. I've always been a very logical person. I want everything to be proven before I'll accept it as truth. However, I let that mindset weaken the power of faith and prayer. Every time I have ever prayed to God asking for help, strength, or comfort, I have felt his presence in my life. I felt the same amazing feeling that I get when I ask God if He loves when I asked Him if the Book of Mormon is His word. God loves all of His children. That makes sense. Because of that, He wants us to feel comfortable in his presence. That makes sense. And because He is perfectly happy, He wants us to become as He is. That makes sense. I know that my Redeemer lives. I have felt His loving presence in my life and I have been able to see the power of His atonement. I love Him.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was just released as a leader in my young men's group, and am now called to assist any and all members of my church with the help of the full-time missionaries. I just received my mission call, and am very excited to have the chance to share the gospel of good news with the world.
