Hi I'm Rebecca Santa

I love reading, being active and traveling. I played varsity lacrosse in high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Social Work. My dream is to work with children or adults with special needs, by providing protective services and helping them increase their self-reliance. I define myself by my passion for those with learning disabilities. I believe that this is my calling in life; to help those who are underprivileged or neglected. With my love of language, I speak English, Spanish, American Sign Language and I am currently learning Tagalog. I am proud to say that I completed my first Triathlon a week before my 18th birthday! I enjoy spending time outdoors, and reading as much as I can. I am serving as a missionary in the Philippines for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I can't deny what I have felt. I know this Church is true, and it makes me happy. I have seen so many blessings throughout my life, and I know this restored Gospel blesses families. I can't even imagine what I would be doing if I didn't have this direction in my life. I have peace and hope because I know what my purpose is, and I know why I'm helping others find the truth. Being Mormon is not a selfish thing, or it shouldn't be at least. I know what I know, and I am a missionary because I want others to feel the same joy and knowledge that I have felt. I have seen this Gospel of Jesus Christ bless others who are not Mormon.

How I live my faith

Faith is a principle of action, so therefore I live my faith each day as I try to live like my Savior Jesus Christ lived. I am not afraid for the future because I know about my Savior and His great plan for our happiness. I trust Him. That is the most important aspect of my faith. You can't have faith in someone if you don't trust them. I show my Heavenly Father my love by living as He would want me to live. I try to serve Him by serving others, and really that is why I'm a missionary right now. I'm not serving a mission for myself; I'm serving a mission because that is what my Heavenly Father needs from me, and that makes me happy.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Rebecca Santa
I know that we can come to know our Father in Heaven by praying and speaking with Him. He is our Father, and just like we speak with our earthly parents, He is aware of us and our situations. He loves us so much, and I know that. He loves His children more than anything and I can't even comprehend that. Honestly, I would tell anyone, if they really want to know their Heavenly Father, if they really want to know if there is a God or if this Church is the only true church, ask Him. He is the source of all knowledge. He does exist and He will answer you. Be honest with Him, and tell him the desires of your heart. We can know Him just like He knows us, if we pray to Him.
