Hi I'm Cleggsan

I received a BSEE from the University of North Dakota and an MBA from Illinois State University.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in a little town called "the Paradise of the Rockies", Heber City, Utah. There I learned about hard work and long summers working in the hay fields and potato patch. Upon graduation from High School I chose to study Engineering and Math as they of great interest to me. My target was to become an audio and radio broadcasting engineer - and that is what I did. Along the way I took several jobs in the industry eventually ending with supervision and management responsibilities. Having owned two small businesses during my college years I took great interest in the business side of life in addition to the technical fields. So, after a few years in industry I returned to the university obtaining a Masters Degree in Business Administration. During that time I took to teaching Electronics at a nearby technical college whilst studying for the MBA. This was a great help to me in later employment opportunities, many of which took me to foreign countries and cities of great renown in order to fulfill my assignments and voluntary work in technical standards used around the world. During my work in technology development I was called upon to teach graduate business classes at a state university where my business experience was deemed important and desirable and of benefit to executive MBA candidates. This was a very fulfilling. My family has been a great support in my desire to succeed - with the primary purpose of providing for my wife, and 8 children.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a "Mormon" or more precisely a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been a marvelous experience and has brought me closer to the spirit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It has provided a way to follow his commandments more precisely and to come to know how to feel his spirit in a better direction of life each day. I strongly commend it to those who wish to develop a feeling of connection to the Father of us all and the Lord and Savior of the world, even Jesus Christ. It is wonderful and marvelous to behold.

How I live my faith

Being affiliated with the Church throughout life many wonderful opportunities came to bless me and my family. I served as a Branch President in an upstate New York city where the population of "Mormons" was not so great but with the pioneer spirit to build up the Church and increase its member ship and outreach. There we laid the groundwork for a future new building to serve the needs of a growing branch which later on became a full functioning "Ward" in the Cumorah Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! We taught our children that it would be a great blessing to fulfill a mission for our Church when they become of age. It is customary for the boys to serve as missionaries when they turn 19 years of age but we were blessed with only one son. He did fill a mission in the country of Guatemala. But the 7 daughters were given the opportunity to serve missions if they wanted to but it was their personal choice. Four of the seven did take the opportunity to do so. One daughter service in Porto Alegre Brazil, another to Fortaleza Brazil, another to Long Beach California and lastly to Logan Utah mission areas. It was a great benefit for each of them as we saw their testimonies of the Gospel of Jesus Christ flourish in their lives.
