Hi I'm Britlyn

I'm a mother. I'm a university student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of a beautiful baby boy. As well as being a stay-at-home mom, I am a university student. I'm finishing my Bachelor's degree online in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education. My online major allows me to stay at home with my little son, which I love. My husband is my best friend who keeps me laughing and keeps me enjoying the "moments" in life. There are few things that add as much to my life as my family does. As well as spending time with my family, I love getting outside. Whether it be going out for a walk with the stroller, taking a hike, going snowboarding, or having a picnic with my husband, being outdoors is always a huge uplift for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ fills my life with a sense of peace that I cannot find anywhere else. The doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints just "makes sense." This gospel answers my most important questions, and is the number one guiding force in my life. I value the knowledge that I have both a loving Heavenly Father and Savior to help me through life. I know that it's true (and take great joy in knowing) that I can live with my family forever, even after death. I absolutely know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I choose to put motherhood over a career. Although changing diapers and soothing crying babies is not something that society places monetary value on, I know that God intends for family comes first in life. I know that motherhood is my most important role as a woman, and that I am doing a far greater work in the home than I could ever be doing in any paid job.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is like living life without all of the confusion of the world. There is so much going on in the world, and it's easy to wonder what our purpose is. Being a Mormon, for me, gives me a lasting purpose, as well as hope and peace. The gospel of Jesus Christ provides me with a feeling of self-worth, and confidence in my decisions. Show more Show less
