Hi I'm Danielle Renae

I'm a Kentuckian. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am your average college student, except I have never been in a sorority, never been to a drinking party, and I have never lived in student housing that is co-ed. I am going to school for web design. I love photography and singing, both of which have been means of income for me in the past. I am a big sister to three siblings and I am on the search for someone I can start my own family with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. However, like any convert I too had to have my own true conversion to the gospel. I had a good friend that was very strong in his baptist faith. We had gospel discussions all the time. During one particular discussion we touched on the subject of marriages and whether or not they were eternal. He believed that marriages were, "til death do you part". The LDS stance is that marriage is eternal when done with the proper authority. We argued this over and over again until I had a breaking point. I began to burst into tears. "Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy, so why would he ever give us the great happiness of marriage on earth and then rip it away from us after death?" I asked him. He had no response. After this experience, I knew that marriages and families were meant to be forever, and if that was true then the whole gospel is true because it comes as a whole package. Also, throughout my experiences being alone at college I have gained my own testimony that this church is true and that its gospel teaches the only true principles of happiness.

How I live my faith

I have been a leader in many branches of our church. I have served as a class president, counselor, and secretary in our young women's classes. I have been a ward missionary where I assisted the full-time missionaries in spreading the word. I have served as a primary teacher, teaching small kids the basics of the gospel. I have served as a ward choir director, using my musical talents to bring beautiful sacred music to our Sunday services. I have also served as the activity days leader, organizing activities for girls ages 8-12 where they can learn and make great friends. I also participate as a member of our women's volleyball team.
