Hi I'm Joe

I was born in Arizona. I love the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I went to a school in a Pima, AZ where I played football, basketball, and tennis. I spend as much of my free time as I possibly can in the outdoors. I enjoy swimming, hiking, fishing, and hunting. I think some of the reasons I enjoy these activities so much is because most of time I participate in them I am with my family and friends. It is also nice to get away from the rush of everyday life and enjoy our surroundings. I plan on going to college and eventually getting married and raising a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but that is not why I continue to be one. I have seen the happiness that the restored gospel has brought to my life and the life of my family. I know that as I do my best to develop my relationship with God and live his commandments, I find true joy in this life. I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed about it and I know that it is true and cannot deny it. Reading it everyday blesses my life. It helps me draw closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that as families are founded on the principles of the gospel, they are blessed and can last forever. Being a Mormon brings true happiness to my life. I can't think of any other way that I would rather live my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as a full-time missionary in South Carolina. I do my best to reach out to people and teach them about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know it is meant to bless everyone's life. It can be challenging talking to people that you don't know but seeing the changes in people as a result of our Savior's Atonement makes it all worth it.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Joe
I love God and Jesus Christ so much. One of my favorite things about Them is that I know they are just and they love every one of the us the same. Christ taught that you have to be baptized to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Not everyone in this life has had the opportunity to hear the gospel and be baptized. Because God is loving, they to will have a chance to accept the baptism performed in their behalf. Everything is fair and no one is excluded from the chance to get into heaven. I love this doctrine because it shows how merciful and loving our Father in Heaven is. Show more Show less
