Hi I'm Fenwick Tseng

I am proud to be a Mormon

About Me

I am a graduate in Penn State University, majoring in Biology. I was baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on December 3, 2011. I am the oldest of four boys and the only member in the family. I am an introvert but love being around good friends. My hobbies are video games. As a kid, I have always loved Pokemon and I am still a big fan today. I have always admire and appreciate art and music (especially the Hymns) because it keeps my mind and heart at peace during difficult times. I served in the China Hong Kong mission on 2014-2016.

Why I am a Mormon

I never had any though of joining a Church. I was satisfied to live according to what my parents have taught me when I was a child. A missionary just happen to have found me and ask if I could listen to their message they want to share. It was a difficult life-changing process, but it wasn't until after being invited to the Church for the first time by the missionaries that I began to felt the spirit of love from everyone and started to attend Church every Sunday. After I was baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day- Saints, I continued to learn more from the missionaries and I even got called by the missionaries to share my testimony to a person they were teaching. I found true happiness through helping others happily and willingly. I am beginning to have a more deeper relationship with my Heavenly Father as time went on. Basic gospel principles have been the foundation for me in getting to know Heavenly Father, but only when I choose to apply those principles. These gospel principles are not something I hear and disregard afterwards; they are loving instructions given to me by Heavenly Father because He cares about my happiness and well-being. To be loved and cared for by so these people means that Heavenly Father really does care about me, and that is why this church has become a second home to me.

How I live my faith

Being the only member in my family can be very challenging. There is always some degree of opposition around me which can make it difficult to live the gospel. In times like these, it is very important for me to stay close to people who have similar beliefs as I do and more importantly stay close to God. I always have to remind myself to keep trying everyday; and even though I may not succeed, I am stilling doing well in God's eyes. I always strive to live by example in word and deed. Having church callings can really help me to develop Christ-like attributes and to always get outside of myself in serving others. True happiness comes only when I am ready and willing to lose myself in God's work.
