Hi I'm Heather

I am a 24 year old single mother from Hood River Oregon. I am passionate about my Faith, family and career.

About Me

I am extremely outgoing and find many things in life enjoyable. I am easily pleased and find happiness in little things. My 3 year old daughter brings me ultimate happiness though, happiness I never deemed possible and happiness i know is only possible through our Heavenly Father. I know that life can be hard but through this Gospel I know that everything is meant to be and serves a purpose in life. It gives me the strength I need to move forward and be positive.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe this church is true. I believe our prophet Joseph Smith saw Jesus Christ our Savior and restored the church on earth today and that we are still blessed with a living prophet. Being a Mormon gives me the opportunity to have eternal life with my Heavenly Father and to be with my family forever. Being a mother, I cant think of any better joy than having an eternal life with what matters the most in life, my Family. Can you?

How I live my faith

My daughter and I love going to church each sunday and make sundays our special day. We spend the mornings together getting ready and looking our best. We say our prayers together and talk through out the day about church that day. Watching my daughters knowledge of Heavenly Father grow has helped my own. We often meet with the ward missionaries and have dinner with them and other families from our church. My daughter especially loves playing with the missionaries, who are so friendly and loving towards her. I also meet with a few other women from our church one day a month to organize events for the women in our church. We organize meetings that give us the opportunity to get to know one another on a personal level, so that we can offer each other support and love as sisters. These meetings are often very useful and teach us things such as sewing and home decorating ideas.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Absolutely not. And this is exactly one of the reasons I chose to convert. Much of what is done in the Church is to bless and help those who are not Mormon. We have thousands of Missionaries that we send all over the world to help those in need (Mormon or not Mormon) but mainly to help those who arent. We have multiple activities held in my hometown Church to help nearby communities in need. We would help any hand in need. Like Joseph Smith himself taught we are "to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the dear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church or in any other, or in no church at all."
