Hi I'm David Michael Kisling

Musician, Father, and Hospital Corpsman in the USN. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play guitar, I drum, and I sing. I was raised in the Assembly of God Church my whole life. I'm a Corpsman in the United States Navy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Assembly of God church, and always felt as though there was something missing; some key ingredient to my faith and spiritual connection with Heavenly Father. I withdrew myself from the church, and began to search for the key to that missing ingredient. I searched high, and low, and often came up shorter than when I began. I found myself in a very dark place, spiritually. As God's personal plan for me began to unfurl, though, I met a girl through the Spring Musical (Seussical) at my High School, during my Senior year (2012), who was Mormon. I developed a crush on her, and as I became more interested in her, I began to read the Book of Mormon, just to find out what it was the she believed in. I finished 1st Nephi (the first Book in the Book of Mormon) and was compelled by the Holy Spirit to begin again. So I did... and with every Book that I read; every verse; every word; I drew closer to Heavenly Father. I knew, because of the Impression that the Holy Spirit made on my Heart, that every bit of it was true. I began to read other things, such as General Conference talks, the Doctrine & Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price, and was absolutely astonished by the feeling that I attained through this. I prayed all throughout my reading and still pray to this day to ask Heavenly Father to guide me in the truth of the Gospel. I have had so many Blessing fall upon me since I accepted the fullness of the Gospel, and continue to be blessed as I go about my life in faith and in reverence. I testify that these things are true, and challenge anyone who has not come to know the truth of the fullness of the Gospel, to pray and honestly ask Heavenly Father to reveal the truth unto your heart.

How I live my faith

I counsel willing friends, families, and strangers in need. I try harder, day by day, to live more righteously in the eyes of my Heavenly Father, and I will do all that I can to assist anyone in any aspect of their life, and to always be a servant to Heavenly Father, and to those in need. I live the Gospel with my wife, Sierra, and our daughter, Leia. They are the most precious blessings I have received here on Earth. Every moment of my life is a blessing from God, and I strive to show him how grateful I am.
